Man’s haori (kimono overjacket), lining
Jacquard weave

Shown is a man’s haori, turned inside out. A somber solid brown on the outside, the jacquard weave and contrasting warp and weft colors combine to make a luxury lining that few were ever intended to see. The design of five Akita puppies at play was accomplished with only two colors: lustrous golden brown warps and dark brown wefts. Hard to make out from the distance, the weave is actually very highly detailed. The last photo shows one puppy’s eye and eyelashes.
