Hitoe (unlined kimono)
Stenciled warps and wefts (meisen)

The large red dots on the end of thin white lines are reminiscent of the Charles and Ray Eames coat rack designed in 1953, and makes one wonder if the kimono designer saw a photograph of the coat rack, and drew inspiration from it.

The black lines almost certainly protrude into the red space deliberately, and are perhaps a way of rendering a shadow to the give the illusion of three dimensionality to the circle.
