Kimono
Silk, cotton (lining)
Stenciled warps (meisen)

The uzumaki, or whirlpool, design was very popular in early 20th century kimonos. Much of the lining of this kimono is bright orange. A sliver of that orange can be seen where the right sleeve is sewn to the body.

As sometimes happens, there were occasional glitches in the weaving process, causing bunching or gapping, as seen here.
