Hitoe
Asa, silk (collar lining)
Chijimi (twisted and untwisted threads), weft kasuri

This hitoe, probably from the Taisho period, is made of unbleached asa. The small motifs are atypical in design, placement, number and juxtaposition, and are not always identifiable.
